An update on the program for the dicamba tolerant soybeans (Roundup Ready Xtend)
DeKalb is very certain that market approval will be given but it is not official yet. We are taking orders for the seed, but if it happens that said approvals fall short, or late, for the 2016 planting season we will substitute for RR2 soybeans. There are sufficient seed beans in the system to accommodate this.
The Xtend beans look very promising for the fields where we can combine a preplant burndown/residual program.
There are no issues at this time combining the XtendiMax (dicamba product) with our traditional Guardian program we have been using, for great residual and control of Canada Fleabane as well as other tough weeds.
